How does recognizing the complexity and ever-changing nature of your beliefs and values impact the way you make important decisions in your life now?

Going back to the candle on the shoe analogy, I make my decisions with what I have illuminated. And sometimes it's a lot of illumination, and sometimes not so much, but it doesn't really matter, because I only have the light available that I have available. However, there's others stumbling around the dark too, some that have been places I haven't that can share their experiences with me, or we can walk together for a time and light up more of the path before us. But I never hold onto the decision too tightly, I need to be flexible because things will appear that I couldn't have foreseen, and I have to be agile enough to account for those unforeseen circumstances and change my course as needed. I'm also more forgiving of myself, because I made that important decision with limited information, and I tried to make the best decision I could with what I had, and usually, that's the best we can hope for. We can seek out wise counsel, and meditate on our decision and the consequences and potential outcomes, but in the end, we have to make our decision (and even indecision is in itself a decision), and hope for the best, because the ever-changing nature of my beliefs arises from the ever changing world I find myself in, and I can't possibly have all of the information need to make the optimal decision, so usually, I have to just take that leap of faith and make the best decision with what I have knowing that I'll probably have to course correct as I'm stumbling along.
