Reflecting on your past experiences, can you identify a pattern in how your decisions and
actions have shaped your life, and how you have adapted to the outcomes?
I'm not sure there's much of a pattern, at least not one I can distinguish. There seems to be
some sort of wisdom that humans have figured out in the moral teachings of our religious texts,
sort of an instruction manual to how things work best for humans, things such as the golden
rule, so when I treat others kindly, I'm more likely to be treated kindly in return, but there's
no guarantee. It may be that the person is a psychopath, and I treat them kindly and they take
advantage of me. But I want to leave the world better than I found it and to treat people with
honor and love and dignity and respect, and I find when I consciously do those things, it at
least makes me feel better, and most people act in kind, and we're actually working together to
create a world in which we can both thrive.
